Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim play host to FC Bardez in a Goa Professional League match which will be held at the Rosary Church Ground in Navelim on Sunday afternoon.
SCC Cavelossim come into the match with a victory in their previous match against Corps of Signals and will be looking to keep the winning run going. SCC Cavelossim are currently in sixth spot tied on points with FC Bardez, who are ahead in fifth position.
FC Bardez come into this match with a loss against Dempo SC. The Panthers will be looking to break their losing streak and move up the table with just four matches remaining in the season.
FC Bardez will see some changes to their squad as their Nigerian striker Joel Sunday has left following the completion of his loan spell. Seasoned midfielder Peter Carvalho will be back having served his suspension and goalkeeper Bilal Khan will be in goal as Mirshad K is out injured, Cavin Soares will also be out due to injury.
FC Bardez captain Peter Carvalho said ahead of the game, “We have to win this match. We are playing good football and we have practiced hard. The only problem is we are not getting goals. We hope to turn that around in the remaining games.”
Meanwhile FC Bardez assistant coach Climax Lawrence said, “We are playing good football. But the only problem is we are not scoring. We have to win tomorrow as we want to finish at least in the top five.”
