Unbelievably Fast Objects: the new Velocita 4 Pro by UMBRO!

Players are always excited about trying out new boots before they’re released, but Michail Antonio took it too far with the new Velocita 4 Pro – that’s why UMBRO had to send our top men to hunt him down and get them back.

The speedy West Ham United star was training in the new boots when Umbro employees Tim Grimble and Maddox tried to take them back by any means necessary. Check out the video above to see what happened, you may recognise Grimble and Maddox…

One look at the new Velocita 4 and you can see why Michail was so excited to try them out. The latest generation of our speed boot, they’re Unbelievably Fast Objects, launched in a cool white, black and acid lime colourway. But what makes them so special?

There’s a significant change under the hood with the new Sprint+ outsole. The lightweight pebax material uses a combination of conical and specially shaped studs to ensure maximum grip and traction for speed in all directions.

The stud position and geometry has been designed based on player feedback and analysis of peak pressure points during movement.

On the upper, the design has been focused on working on the natural movement of the foot.

It does this through a unique tri-layer construction, with a neoprene base layer providing a seamless feel against the foot; a ‘memory-flex’ middle layer offering stretch and flexibility; and then a protective top layer giving a snug fit.

The diamond cut outs in the forefoot help to give the natural flexibility needed when moving at speed.

All that adds up to a boot that will help you to make the most of any speed you have. So, you can see why a player as fast as Michail Antonio was keen to get them on his feet as quickly as possible.
