China defeated Hong Kong 5-2 on Friday to become the final team to qualify for the 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup in Thailand.
China won the two-leg tie 11-2 on aggregate, with Group A reduced to a two-team affair following the withdrawal of Turkmenistan. Thailand competed for exposure with their results not counting towards the standings.
Having produced a sensational performance to win the first leg 6-0, China scored through Pan Zhongdi, Paiheierding Tudahong and Yang Zu, who starred with a hat-trick at the Bangkok Arena.
Liu Kin Po and Chan Lok Him were on target for Hong Kong.
China join Group B winners Afghanistan and runners-up Saudi Arabia, and 12-time champions Iran, who topped Group C ahead of Kyrgyz Republic, in the Finals.
Vietnam and South Korea were the Group D qualifiers with Tajikistan and Myanmar advancing from Group E.
Kuwait and Bahrain (Group F), Uzbekistan and Iraq (Group G) and defending champions Japan and Australia (Group H) also advanced with hosts Thailand completing the cast.
The 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup in Thailand will be played on April 17-28.
