Indian Super League franchise ATK Mohun Bagan have announced the signing of defender Ashutosh Mehta from NorthEast United FC ahead of the 2021/22 season.
29 year old Mumbai-born Ashutosh Mehta is a youth product for former I-League side Mumbai FC, where he also had his senior debut in 2011. He would spend five seasons with the club, the last few months on loan at Indian Super League side Mumbai City FC after a loan spell with FC Pune City for ISL-1.
In 2017, Ashutosh left Mumbai for the first-time to move to the Northeast to join Aizawl FC and his former Mumbai FC coach Khalid Jamil. Ashu had a very successful season which ended by sensationally lifting the 2016/17 I-League.
Thereafter Ashutosh moved to ATK for ISL-4 before moving back to Maharashtra to join FC Pune City for a second time in ISL-5. For the 2019/20 season, Ashu returned to the I-League to sign for Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan and he went on to lift his second I-League title.
Last season Ashutosh joined NorthEast United FC and there he linked-up with NEUFC assistant coach Khalid Jamil for a third time. After a successful campaign, Igor Stimac called up Ashutosh for his international debut in March 2021.

Now Ashutosh returns to Kolkata to join ATK Mohun Bagan.
