Capacity Building Workshops mark start to CAF African Schools Football Championship UNIFFAC Qualifiers!

With just a few days to go before the UNIFFAC CAF Zone kicks off the final leg of the CAF African Schools Football Championship (ASFC) Zonal Qualifiers, CAF is staging various capacity building initiatives as part of the competition’s parallel objective of capacitating future African leaders.

The second season of the innovative youth football competition by CAF, which is a first of its kind in world football is fast approaching the exciting Finals, where winners from each of CAF’s six zones will compete in the Finals set to take place later this year.

Ahead of the start of the three-day competition in Kinshasa’s Stade des Martyrs in DR Congo, various workshops for players, educators and coaches in line with CAF’s key objective of development are currently taking place in Kinshasa.

Held in partnership with FECOFA, the workshops are designed to afford participants CAF accredited courses and workshops which included CAF C & D Coaching course, Young Referee’s Programme, Young Reporters Programme, Young Medical Officer’s Programme as well as the CAF Safeguarding workshop, which is designed to create a safe and secure environment for football development.

African Schools Football Championship action officially kicks off on Friday, March 15 and concludes on Sunday, March 17 where the representatives of UNIFFAC will officially be decided.

Boys: Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, DR Congo

Girls: Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, DR Congo
