The IFA (West Bengal) fines Mohun Bagan & East Bengal for not played CFL derby!

The disciplinary committee of the Indian Football Association (West Bengal) met yesterday in Kolkata and decided on punishment and fines for Mohun Bagan AC and East Bengal Club officials after the called off Calcutta derby.

Mohun Bagan’s assistant secretary Srinjoy Bose and finance secretary Debasish Dutta were fined Rs 100,000 (1 lakh) each for the team not playing in the Calcutta Football League – Premier Division ‘A’ derby on September 7.

Meanwhile East Bengal executive committee member Debabrata Sarkar was fined Rs 25,000 while club general secretary Kalyan Majumder was hauled up for their comments after Mohun Bagan decided not to play and give their archrivals a walkover.
