Michael Wimmer to remain as VfB Stuttgart coach until winter break!

Struggling Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart will continue with Michael Wimmer in his role as first-team coach until at least the winter break, with a decision to be made after Matchday 15.

VfB sporting director Sven Mislintat after the game in Dortmund yesterday said, “We have made a very firm decision to go into the winter break with Michael Wimmer. After that, we will conduct discussions properly and with the necessary time needed to make a big decision like this. Michi will be one of three candidates. The margin of today’s defeat hasn’t changed our thinking in this regard.”

Michael Wimmer had taken over as interim coach, when head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo was relieved of his job a few weeks ago.
