Minerva Academy crowned champions of Punjab Youth League unbeaten!

Minerva Academy once again showcased why they are one of the best academies in the country as they bagged their 3rd JCT Punjab Youth League.

This time they were up against tough opposition as Sri Dasmesh were coming into this game scoring 29 goals and conceding just two throughout the tournament.

Gwgwmsar took advantage of a poorly cleared ball inside the box and poked it into the back of the net in the 4th minute to give Minerva Academy the lead.

The second arrived in the 34th minute, as Gwgwmsar won the ball in the box, turned and shot brilliantly to find the bottom corner.

Cruising at 2-0, Minerva Academy put the game to bed just before halftime as they hit their opponents on the break and Gwgwmsar got an easy tap-in to score his hattrick.

They scored their 4th from a well-taken free kick, which was met by Gwgwmsar again, whose first-time finish was unstoppable.

Gwgwmsar then got his and Minerva’s fifth, again after some excellent play down the left, which allowed him a tap-in from three yards.

The icing on the cake was applied by Renedy, whose neat finish from inside the box sealed a 6-0 victory for Minerva Academy in the final of the 3rd JCT Punjab Youth League.

Minerva Academy began their group stage journey with a thumping 3-0 win over Shergill Soccer Academy.
