It was a historical moment at the House of Lords, U.K. in the past week as Odisha FC and the Government of Odisha addressed British-based companies interested in opportunities in Odisha and India.
Odisha FC president Raj Athwal thanked Dr. Anil Sharma, Club Owner of Odisha Football Club, the State Government of Odisha, Baroness Verma, President of the All-Party Parliamentary Group of India (Trade & Investment), Dr. Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner, the Indian Embassy, and parliamentarians who supported the event.
The Government of Odisha was represented by Hemant Sharma IAS who is currently the Principal Secretary to the Government of Odisha, Industries Department who also is additionally in charge of the Skill Development and Technical Education Department.
“The event’s purpose was to showcase the tremendous trade and partnership opportunities that lie within the state of Odisha and the football club,” said Raj Athwal post conclusion of the event.
