2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup – India: MatchDay 7 – Round-up!

The 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India continued today, October 12 with Group A and Group B matches taking place in New Delhi and Navi Mumbai.

Ghana registered a 4-0 victory over hosts India in their final 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup – Group A match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Thursday. The Africans claimed the top spot in the group with the win, while India bow out of the tournament.

Colombia secured a Round of 16 spot with a 3-1 victory over the United States. The South Americans finish the group stage as runners-up in Group A, while the US boys advance to the knockout stages as one of the best third-place teams.

Meanwhile, Paraguay and Mali registered convincing victories in their final Group B matches on Thursday. Paraguay finish top of the table after their 3-1 win against a disappointing Turkish side at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, while Mali secured the second place in the group with a 3-1 win against New Zealand.

The tournament will continue tomorrow with two Group C matches in Goa/Kochi (Costa Rica vs Iran, Guinea vs Germany) and two Group D matches in Goa/Kochi (Niger vs Brazil, Spain vs North Korea).
