3rd AFC Coach Education Conference focuses on ‘Making a Difference’!

The 3rd AFC Coach Education Conference opened with the theme ‘Making a Difference’ in the capital city of Malaysia on Tuesday, April 16.

The three-day conference welcomed representatives from 45 Member Associations and key speakers who will join discussions and talks which focus on topics aimed at developing future coaches.

Asian Football Confederation (AFC) General Secretary Dato’ Windsor John raised the curtain at the conference and shared the AFC’s aspirations in his opening address.

He said, “Asian football has a clear vision for the future: to be the world’s leading Confederation and ensuring the success of our teams on the world’s biggest stages. And coaches are the single most influential force behind producing great teams and players.”

“All coaches at all levels must be given the right tools and education to create positive experiences for players to reach their full potential. The systems you design, the atmosphere you create, help to empower and instill confidence in your coaches.”

“The theme over the next three days – Making a Difference – is a fitting one and reinforces our investment in you. The journey to developing world-class footballers starts first with developing world-class coaches.”

The conference will cover a range of sessions including the success story of China, the implications of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup in the UAE and participants will also get insights into the coach education in Europe.
