Dhanachandra Singh joins Jamshedpur FC from Chennaiyin FC!

Indian Super League franchise Jamshedpur FC has announced the signing of Indian international defender Dhanachandra Singh on a one-year deal. Born in Manipur, Dhanachandra has won the Indian Super League twice with ISl rivals Chennayin FC.

Dhanachandra is primarily left-footed and can play both as a left back and a centre back and has represented reputed clubs such as Churchill Brothers SC, Mumbai FC, Mohun Bagan and Prayag United SC. Dhana has also represented the national team in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

On signing with Jamshedpur FC, Dhanachandra said, “First of all, I would like to thank the club management of Jamshedpur FC for giving me an opportunity to be a part of this family. I am eagerly looking forward to the season with better performance and also being injury free. I would like to perform and prove myself at the top level. I can’t wait to join the squad and help the club to lift their first trophy.”

Jamshedpur FC CEO Mukul Choudhari added, “Dhanachandra gives a different dimension to our squad this season. He has been a top-notch defender and his record speaks for himself. We are extremely happy that he would be joining. We welcome him to Jamshedpur.”
