The Sporting Clube de Goa Under-18 boys scored a massive 19 goals against Ronit SC U-18s in a GFA U-18 League match played at Don Bosco ground in Panjim.
In an absolute carnage Mizio Peixote (7′), Joyson Gauncar (14′), Joyston Cardozo (15′, 49′), Trijoy Dias (21′,26′,37′, 70′), Princeton Rebello (40′, 48′, 53′, 59′,61′,65′,72′, 75′), Joy Hilario (76′, 80′) & Joytion Fernandes (78′) got onto the scoresheet for Sporting Clube de Goa.
It took a mere seven minutes for the young Oranje to open the floodgates when Mizio netted a neat corner leaping above his marker, in the 14th minute another dangerous shot from Mizio came off the Ronit SC keeper only to be tapped in by Joyson from close range. Joyston grabbed the third with a brilliant solo run on the right to place it past a charging keeper. Trijoy Dias who was a silent watcher until now joined the party with a quick-fire hattrick scoring his first and third from a close range on the left while tapping in a good cross from Princeton for his second. Just before the break, Princeton latched on to a through ball from Sangram to put his name on the scoresheet with a 30-yard screamer. The score stood at 7-0 at half-time.
Crossing over Sporting Goa picked up from where they left. Sporting Goa skipper Princeton added his second in the 48th minute when he made a dazzling 35-yard run shredding apart the Ronit SC defence to place a perfect ball past the keeper. In less than a minute, Joyston added one more making it 9-0 in favour of Sporting Goa. The Oranje skipper Princeton continued to toy with the Ronit SC players adding another six goals taking his personal tally to an impressive eight in the match. Joy Hilario added two while Joytion Fernandes and Trijoy added one each towards the end taking Sporting Goa’s tally to a whopping 19 goals.
With this win, Sporting Clube de Goa has now collected nine points from four matches.
