Joachim Löw names Germany squad for 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers!

DFB logoGermany coach Joachim Löw earlier today named his 24 player Germany squad for the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Czech Republic (September 1, Prague) and Norway (September 4, Stuttgart).

After the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup triumph, Löw welcomes back 2014 FIFA World Cup winners Mats Hummels and Thomas Müller (both Bayern München), Sami Khedira (Juventus FC), Toni Kroos (Real Madrid), Mesut Özil (Arsenal FC), besides striker Mario Gomez (VfL Wolfsburg) and winger Serge Gnabry (1899 Hoffenheim), who was part of Germany Under-21s winning the U-21 European Championships.

Missing are injured Marco Reus, André Schürrle and Julian Weigl (all Borussia Dortmund), while recovering captain Manuel Neuer (Bayern München), Mario Götze (Borussia Dortmund), and Ilkay Gündogan (Manchester City) have been left out due to lack of match practice while FIFA World Cup winners Benedikt Höwedes (FC Schalke 04) and Shkodran Mustafi (Arsenal FC) have been left out of the squad with transfers possible in the coming week.
