mpl-chhinga-veng-fc-dinthar-fcFootball fans were in for a treat in the evening fixture of Mizoram Premier League – Season 5 round 4 with Chhinga Veng FC and Dinthar FC pegging each other back in a 6 goal thriller to share the points.

It took only 6 minutes for the first goal with Dinthar FC drawing first blood through Lalruatpuia taking advantage of an error from Chhinga Veng FC’s backline.

But the “Chhingcows” as fans of Chhinga Veng FC are known soon got their reason to shout with PC Vanlalhmangaiha grabbing the equaliser through a goalkeeper error from their opponents. But Chhinga Veng FC, no strangers to goalkeeping calamities themselves, soon see themselves trailing again after their goalkeeper fumbled a catch and Dinthar FC’s Michael duly gave his side the lead again.

The second half saw Chhinga Veng FC changing shape and bringing on Lalkhawpuimawia and Paul Ramfangzauva, with both players having immediate impact. Lalkhawpuimawia duly scoring the equaliser on the 53rd minute with a brilliant individual effort.

Much to the chagrin of Dinthar FC, Joseph Lalnunpuia scored Chhinga Veng FC’s third goal and gave his side the lead with a thunderbolt of a strike bringing the “Chhingcows” to an immediate roar. It looked as though it would be enough for three points for the newcomers but it was not to be. As another bland goalkeeping saw Saihmingthanga’s effort from range fly into the net for an equaliser on the 80th minute.

Isak Lalremruata of Chhinga Veng FC was duly chosen for the Man of the Match Award dur to his tireless running in the midfield.

Chhinga Veng moved up to third place with five points from four matches where as Dinthar moved out of the bottom of the table and climbed one step up with two points from four matches.
