Mizoram Premier League: Ramhlun North FC and Chhinga Veng FC share points in entertaining draw!

League leaders Chhinga Veng FC were almost dealt their first defeat of this season’s Mizoram Premier League campaign in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Ramhlun North FC. Lalrinchhana scored a stoppage time equalizer to maintain his side’s undefeated streak in all competitions this season.

Ramhlun North FC struck the first blow after just three minutes when Lalremruata headed in a corner from Rinfela. Chhinga Veng responded soon after when Lalkhawpuimawia and Laldampuia scored in the space of five minutes to give their side the lead.

Ramhlun North FC had chances to equalize before halftime but Rinfela, Remruata and Jessy missed their opportunities while Malsawmfela could not beat goalkeeper Rinhlua at the other end.

Ramhlun North FC began the second half just like the first period and threatened through Toky Zomuanpuia and their goalscorer Lalremruata.

Chhinga Veng FC found it hard to carve out clear chances and were punished late on when V. Lalchhuanawma scored two late on.

The lead looked enough for Ramhlun North FC but Chhinga Veng FC ensured themselves of a point when midfielder Lalrinchhana converted Malsawmfela’s delivery late in stoppage time.

Ramhlun North FC’s livewire Lalrinfela was named man of the match.
