MPL-7: Mizoram Police rout Bethlehem Vengthlang FC!

Mizoram Police FC are marching on towards the semifinals as they beat Bethlehem Vengthlang FC 4-0 in round three of the Mizoram Premier League.

They controlled the match right from the start and took the lead on the 8th minute through Lalfakzuala.

Bethlehem Vengthlang FC failed to conjure up a response as they struggled to break down their opponents even when they have possession.

The Police team added another when Lalbiakhlua’n right wing cross was finished by Lalruatpuia in the 34th minute. Midfielder V. Laltanpuia almost scored their third right before halftime but Bethlehem Vengthlang FC goalkeeper Lalhmaa was able to deny another goal.

The onslaught continued in the second half with Lalfakzuala scoring his second of the afternoon after V. Laltanpuia weighed in a beautiful defence splitting pass.

Lalbiakhlua added a fourth in the 65th minute after missing a glorius chance minutes earlier as the forward made no mistake with Lalfakzuala providing the assist.

Bethlehem Vengthlang FC managed to test Police goalkeeper Muanawma late on but PC Vanlalhruaia could not manage to net a consolation goal.
