The All India Football Federation organised a Grassroots Festival for the girls (Live Your Goals) at the Government Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Nangloi, New-Delhi earlier today, September 7.
It was a fun-filled event which was purely aimed at popularising the Sport of Football amongst the kids. 130 kids studying in the third standard to the fifth standard took part in the event.
Ritu Chauhan, the physical education teacher of the school, was the in-charge of the Grassroots Course and five ‘D’ license coaches were also there to run the show smoothly.
India Women’s National team player Jyoti Ann Burrett took some time out from her busy schedule and her presence further motivated the kids to play. She shared her invaluable experience with the girls to encourage them to take the sport seriously.
