World Football Summit will return to Africa in November 2022!

Two years after having to make the difficult decision of cancelling the event planned for March 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the city of Durban in South Africa will be the proud host of the first World Football Summit event on the African continent.

The World Football Summit will be held in Durban, South Africa on November 16/17, 2022.

Back in March of 2020, it broke many hearts to cancel WFS Africa just as it was about to take place, but now, WFS have come out of the pandemic stronger and WFS are excited to finally announce to the whole African football and sports industry that they are back.

WFS are confident this summit will be the first of many and that it will play a vital role in shaping the future of football in the region.

Special thanks to all the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Sihle Zikalala and Dr. Danny Jordaan, recently re-elected president of SAFA, for their great support to help us see WFS Africa come true.

The truth is that all of this could not be possible without the support of some of the most important governing bodies of the region.

Daany Jordaan, President of the South African Football Association (SAFA), and the man who was also capable of bringing the first FIFA World Cup to the African continent, was instrumental in making WFS Africa a reality.

Hlengiwe Mavimbela, MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture KwaZulu-Natal, also reassured the entire region is ready for World Football Summit.
