As XtraTime reports, the AIFF in its effort to push and instigate the State Associations to contribute to the football development in the concerned states has introduced a points-based assessment system that indicates the performance of the states on the various operational verticals.
The top state based on the points accumulated for the 2019/20 football season is West Bengal governed by The Indian Football Association (The IFA).
Speaking to XtraTime, IFA secretary Joydeep Mukherjee was very happy and pleased to see West Bengal on top.
