Chuni Goswami’s death on April 30, 2020, though sad, brought back memories of some of the finest days of India’s football history.
While remembering the man and the teams he represented, 420grams also had a chance to relive some of the football that was played in India in the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s; a time when the men’s national team was among the best in Asia, and the side qualified for the Olympic Games and won gold at the Asian Games in 1962.
420grams are also joined by former footballer Subhas Bhowmick besides fellow broadcaster and Chuni Goswami’s nephew, Supriyo, who paints a very personal picture of the sporting icon.
