Samsom Fernandes and Jade Colaco scored a brace each in Sports & Welfare Club Zaino’s big win over Varca Sports Club in the Goa Second Division League match played at Ambelim ground.
Varca SC enjoyed a dream start as Reeve D’Costa scored two goals in the span of three minutes to send his side two goals up in the 15th minute. But SWC Zaino didn’t give up and showed great determination and zeal as they attacked in numbers at the right moment. They managed to pull a goal back in the 29th minute through Jade and levelled terms in the very next minute through Preston Fernandes. Samson Fernandes gave Zaino the lead in the 35th minute as they walked with a goal advantage at the breather.
Crossing over, Zaino continued from where they had left from as they scored three more goals through Jade, Samdon and Hayden Pinto.
Varca SC pulled another goal back in the 90+2 minutes through Coloumbus Noronha.
