Good governance & integrity solidified in inaugural AFC Entry Control Body Workshop!

The first-ever AFC Entry Control Body Workshop concluded in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.

AFC General Secretary Dato’ Windsor John in his opening remarks said, “During the last two years, the AFC has been tireless in ensuring we maintain the highest standards of integrity.”

“The introduction of this independent Entry Control Body, places the AFC not only at the forefront of international sports law, but as pioneers in upholding the principles of fair-play and transparency in sports.”

“The workshop once again signifies a clear intent from the AFC. We are now more ready than ever to build on our growing momentum.”

Over the two-day workshop, the participants heard from AFC partners Sportradar, as well as UEFA on the current best practices and challenges.

With the formation of the AFC Governance Task Force, the AFC has introduced the ‘Do the Right Thing’ policy, with the aim to encourage whistleblowers to step forward.
