atletico-de-kolkata-mumbai-city-fcUruguayan Diego Forlan’s second half goal was enough for Mumbai City FC to win away at Atletico de Kolkata in an Indian Super League – Season 3 match at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium on Tuesday evening.

It was a match of two halves with Mumbai City FC being the better side in the first half, while the hosts Atletico de Kolkata were the stronger side after the break.

Mumbai City FC threatened the ATK goal numerous times with Sony Norde the main culprit with his best chance coming in the 33rd minute when his former Mohun Bagan team mate goalkeeper Debjit Majumder made a world class save to deny his side the lead.

Former champions Atletico de Kolkata finished the first half better and continued that way in the second session with the first chance coming from substitute Bidyananda Singh playing a dangerous cross into the Mumbai City FC box but it was too high for Iain Hume to connect.

Towards the end young keeper Albino Gomes saved Mumbai City FC twice from conceding the equaliser with good saved, first from a Hume shot and then a Javi Lara free kick.
