Manipur at the sub-junior level continued their domination with a 2-1 win over hosts Odisha at the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack on Thursday.
Manipur went ahead in the game in the 8th minute through a L. Bibicha Devi, but Odisha equalised in the first half itself in the 40th minute through a N Gitanjali Chanu own goal. At the break it was 1-1.
Manipur won the tournament in the third minute of added time through a goal from H Shilky Devi breaking the hearts of the hosts.
The chief guest for the final was Odisha Minister of Sports & Y.S. Chandra Sarathi Behera, who handed over the winning trophy to Manipur as well as other trophies and medals.
Asirbad Behera, OAA secretary, was present as the Guest of Honour, while Debashish Samantaray, MLA – Barabati Cuttack and FAO president) presided over the closing ceremony.
