MPL-7: All even between Aizawl FC and Chhinga Veng FC!

Two time champions Aizawl FC and defending champions Chhinga Veng FC played out an even match up as they shared points in a 0-0 draw at AR Lammual.

The champions enjoyed the better chances that came along in an even match up but lady luck was not on their side in the last fixture of round 4.

Lalromawia tested Aizawl FC Gurpreet Singh twice in the first half through a freekick and a close range effort, while Lalmuansanga also came close for Chhinga Veng FC.

Former Chhinga Veng FC striker Lalkhawpuimawia also proved to be a handful at set pieces in the other end for Aizawl FC.

Chhinga Veng FC applied more pressure in the second half but it could not result in a goal with the trio of Lalrammawia, Lalromawia and Lalrinchhana failing to create anything more than half-chances.

Isak Vanlalruatfela was a bright spark for Aizawl FC but it was clear the I-League club were the subdued team as they struggled to break down Chhinga Veng FC backline.

Chhinga Veng FC’s Lalrammawia nudged the ball into the net late on in a goal mouth scramble but the referee had to rule it out because of a foul on the goalkeeper Gurpreet.

Unbeaten Chhinga Veng FC with 10 points from fire matches will now face Mizoram Police FC on Friday afternoon while Aizawl FC will be entertained by Ramhlun North FC in the evening.
