RoundGlass Sports U-15s suffer 0-3 loss to Minerva Punjab FC!

Minerva Punjab FC U-15 boys defeated RoundGlass Sports U-15 with a 3-0 scoreline courtesy of a brace from Mehson in the Punjab Zone of the Hero Junior League (U-15 Youth League).

The U-16 Indian National Team coach Bibiano Fernandes was a special guest at the match.

Minerva Punjab FC, unbeaten in the first two games like their rivals, travelled to Kurali ground to face RoundGlass Sports in their third game of the Punjab Zone.

Minerva Punjab FC started the game with confident possession and passing. It took them only 10 minutes to open the scoring with a brilliant ball through for Himashu Jangra who made no mistake to
put Minerva Punjab FC 1-0 up. Himashu could have scored another in the 20th minute only to be denied by the crossbar.

RoundGlass Sports tried to play some long balls but Bikash and Paogoumang were solid at the back and goalkeeper Charles hardly had to make any save in the first half.

Minerva Punjab FC started the second half with Aphoba coming in for Vaishalu. Minerva Punjab FC made some brilliant moves but were not able to put a finishing touch in the final third. Himanshu Jangra
rounded off the RoundGlass Sports goalkeeper in the 75th minute but couldn’t finish it off with an open net in front, although the angle was very acute.

Mehson, who had an impressive game, was denied by the post in the 80th minute. But he finally managed to go past the keeper with a superbly taken shot from 30 yards out in the 85th minute.

Mehson finished it off in style by rounding off two defenders and slotting it in the left bottom corner with only keeper to beat in the 92nd minute. The game finished with a 3-0 victory for Minerva Punjab FC.

With this win, Minerva Punjab FC have nine points from three matches and sit in top of the table, while RoundGlass Sports are second on six points from three matches.

Minerva Punjab FC have managed to score 13 goals without conceding a single goal.

Minerva Punjab FC next face United Punjab Football Academy away in Pathankot on April 23.
