RB Leipzig have a new assistant coach in Dino Toppmöller, who joins the coaching staff of head coach Julian Nagelsmann. The 39-year-old German was previously head coach of F91 Düdelingen in Luxembourg and has signed a two-year contract at Leipzig.
Toppmöller, who recently gained a UEFA Pro Licence, won three league titles with F91 Düdelingen between 2016 and 2019, as well as two doubles. He made history in 2018/19 with his Düdelingen side becoming the first team from Luxembourg to reach the group stages of the UEFA Europa League.
RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche said, “Julian Nagelsmann’s coaching team will have more support next season with Dino Toppmöller joining. Despite his young age, Dino has a lot of expierence as a coach. His skills and philosophises match ours. We are pleased that he chose to become our new assistant coach despite a number of other offers.”
