Meeting on AFC Champions League Group Stage matches to be held!

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has called an Emergency meeting of all key stakeholders – Member Associations, Leagues, clubs and commercial agency – participating in the AFC Champions League – East Zone.

The meeting, to be held on February 4, 2020, will discuss the impact of various Government travel restrictions following the outbreak of the coronavirus and its classification by the World Health Organisation as a global health emergency.

As the Governing body for football in Asia, the AFC is determined to protect the competition and make proper and appropriate plans, including but not limited to the rescheduling of matches in the East Zone. The meeting will take place at AFC Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The group stages of the AFC Champions League in the East Zone were scheduled to kick off on February 11 and 12, 2020.
