Aizawl FC extended their unbeaten run to six games as they earned a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Bethlehem Vengthlang FC in round 7 of the Mizoram Premier League.
A goal a piece from F. Lalremsanga, Ansumana Kromah, Lalrinfela and Lalkhawpuimawia sealed victory for the I-League club over Bethlehem Vengthlang FC at the Serchhip Sports Complex.
Aizawl FC started well and bagged an early goal when in-form forward F. Lalremsanga netted in the 9th minute. They continued to control the match as Paul Ramfangzauva and Isak Vanlalruatfela both forced saves from Bethlehem Vengthlang FC’s Eddie.
Bethlehem Vengthlang FC also enjoyed two good chances in the first half through the on-loan T. Shalomlala and H. Lalhlimpuia. But it was Aizawl FC who scored again right before half-time as striker Kromah netted from the penalty spot.
Bethlehem Vengthlang FC began brightly in the second half as they pulled one back through P.C. Vanlalhruaia who struck a stunning curler into the net.
But Aizawl FC quickly responded with Lalrinfela and they added late on through Lalkhawpuimawia to ensure a convincing win.
